I have a thing about Yo Yos. I just love them, but am always needing more projects to do with them. I don't want my house to look like a Yo Yo factory threw up.

wisdom teeth. good luck with that!!

i had my 2 lowers extracted as a high school freshman--with laughing gas and general anethestic. i'd never had more than a couple of sips of beer at that point so the anesthesia and the pain meds left me totally doped up.

i had the 2 upper wisdoms extracted about 4 years ago--with only local anesthesia. i freaked! i was so scared of feeling the pain of the extraction. my (lame) oral surgeon forgot to mention that if i had breakfast he wouldn't be able to knock me out. it was totally weird feeling the pressure of him yanking on my teeth. the local anesthesia DID keep the pain away, though. and i survived.

the only good thing about local anesthesia was the following: since i had my senses about me after the surgery i asked the dentist if i could see my teeth. he actually let me have them. those suckers were HUGE!! (and quite discolored from some lengthy stints of antibiotics for teenage acne.) no wonder my wisdom teeth couldn't develop and push forth properly. i was hoping for at least 20 bucks from the tooth fairy for these monster teeth. unfortunately, the fairy passed on my teeth. she was prob too scared!!

on a not-so-gross note, i see your granny squares made an appearance! go granny go!!!

I love unusual use of patchwork too. I'm sure you know this, but Gloria Vanderbilt had a love affair with patchwork in the early 70's (i think it was the 70's maybe late 60's ,hmm ,unsure). There might be some pics somwhere on the web. I found this amazing spread in an old magazine where she did these maxi skirts for herself and matching ties for the hub. It even extended to bedding and such. This was before the whole jeans thing I guess.

melissa: i am! i've been munching on it the past couple days and also drinking some orange-pineapple juice. and um, some cupcakes too. hopefully the cupcakes don't counteract the pineapple! :P
