wardrobe_remix(ers) o’ the week
whoa, it’s been a crazy week on my end! i’ve been working A LOT and going to bed early! such is life. finances before fashion (and art and design and…everything!) sometimes…gotsta pay bills, right? ![]()
this here is the original weekly wardrobe_remix recap of the latest and the greatest, from yours truly, the creator of wardrobe_remix!
wardrobe_remix photos that find themselves here are about great style + great photography = where the two great aesthetics meet and merrily marry! and i’ve said it a million times before, it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it…the confidence and sureness you exude when you express yourself the way that makes you feel most comfortable. it shines through! so whether you’re wearing couture clothes from the finest designers, mass market threads, thrifted stuff, or even a shirt you found on the side of the road….it’s ALL GOOD and ALL WELCOME in wardrobe_remix!
yay!

mamichanAww, thanks Tricia! I’ve been a blog reader of yours since the LJ days.
My stylin’ little bro is impressed; he regularly gets approached by Japanese fashion/hair style mags to have his photo taken for publications. Here’s one of his:

maihow great is the kitchen in hyena-in-petticoats’ photo (not to mention her great dress)? also there is something very cool, yet creepy about coquelicot sleep’s empty suburban neighborhood backdrop. i think i like the backdrops to wardrobe_remixers photos as much as i like the subjects and their outfits. great wardrobe_remix post!

triciamai: the background and set up of a shot are actually BIG determiners in me picking a shot…along with the remix(ers) outfit and general being, of course. it’s as if the person considered EVERYTHING in the shot, not just themselves or the photo. they are aware of the whole aesthetic of themselves and their environment, their eyes are wide open to the world. every detail has been considered. i LOVE that…it’s something i have loved about the really amazing wr photos since the group started. and i make a point to put such photos here so people see what a good photo looks like and perhaps they will associate that with what is good for the group (when submitting) as well.
