I remember almost a year ago I went out on a date with this guy and i wore my obnoxiously bright yellow galoshes (rain boots?) to a night out on the town. At one point he told me “you know, I love that you don’t care that people may be looking at you or your boots” and I said, “of course I dont care! These boots make me happy!”

so i guess the point is, if youre happy with what you’re wearing who cares about anything else!

(he turned out to be a jerk, but i think that is my fondest memory of him)

of course, i’m biased here — but beyond that, i do think people are trying to express themselves via clothes and can find inspiration on blogs, in magazines, in wardrobe remix.

I really wish preteens, esp. those weird middle school years, a lot of times people are so preoccupied with fitting in, or being one of the cool crowd, and thinking the whole world revolves around you. i dont know i guess its whenever i watch MTV and see those LA girls they terrify me at how “clone like” their appearances and behaviors are. and these are the “role models” as in the amount of exposure they get in the media that has nothing to do with any sort of skill or talent.

ok, i’m getting off topic. but you’re right on lady.
