i’ve got a pattern in ’stitch and bitch superstar knitting’!
more personal news of a crafty/”hey-i’m-published-again” sort: i’ve got a knitting pattern published in debbie stoller’s newly-released tome, stitch and bitch superstar knitting! it’s the “empire strikes back dress,” which can be found page 293. it was formerly known as the age of acid empires sweater dress (my original name for it), it’s the same dress i’m wearing in this ancient wardrobe_remix pic:
i’m so tickled that debbie chose to style the sweater with a contrasty color scheme (and have it modeled by a redhead!). hee hee! 
thank you, thank you, thank you, debbie for letting me be a part of your book! this one, like all the others, is bound to be a big success…it’s chock-full of great info and knitting knowledge and debbie’s usual bon mots…and the patterns featured within are pretty frickin’ killer. a little something for everyone: cables, lace, beading, and so much more. GO GET A COPY.
and to anyone who ever emailed me, commented at me, or pestered me via ravelry about whether a pattern for this sweaterdress would ever be available, here you go.

triciaangela: that’s just a separate cowl i made with the leftover yarn from when i originally made the sweater. so i guess to answer your question directly, i made a scarf. though i am sure it would pretty easy to just add a cowl neck to the sweater itself.

FrancaCongratulations, it looks fantastic, both in yellow and orangey red! I vowed never to knit anything with more than 4 seins ever again after some bad experiences, but this is so cute I’m almost tempted to change my mind.

Francaoh, nothing scary really! I just can’t really get clothing right for some reason. I always muck up the tension and I just don’t have the patience for the plain bits.
And I once made a triangular shawl, knit on a circular needle, starting from the long end, so it was all bunched up, so I couldn’t tell it was WAY too long. About 3.5 metres to be exact! It was meant to be a present for my mum, who is 5 foot! I ended up persisting, spending about £100 on yarn for the studid thing, thinking she might use it as a throw or something. She doesn’t, just keeps it in a drawer. One day I’ll unravel it and turn it into lots of small usable things!

laurai might sound crazy, but i’m so excited about this! (: i’ve been wanting to make a similiar dress ever since i saw yours, but have never been able to find a nice pattern. i can’t wait to get a copy and make a pretty green dress for my winter wardrobe!
