usually i talk about my inspirations, fashion-related or not...but:
back when my blog-o-rama was over at livejournal, i used to do long laundry lists of fashion-related things that i was obsessed with at any given time. sometimes the things on the list intersect with whatever's haute right now, but not always. i miss doing that! so, here's a little blast from the past, content-wise. maybe i'll bring it back as a regular feature here!
fashion obsessions o' the moment:
-yellow flats
-cocktail hats, small and cocked ever so slightly to the side
-stacks of gold bracelets, of differing size, all worn on one arm
-clutch purses
-vintage and antique brooches worn on the strap of a sundress or jumper-style dress
-clip-on earrings, either of the rhinestone or acid colored beaded sort
-doorknocker earrings, in gold, natch!
-girly sweatshirts, i.e. sweatshirts made to fit a womanly form, with interesting details. see anti-factory's soon-to-be-released sweatshirts, for example!
-wearing a straight or pegged skirt over a full one, so the full one bursts out at the bottom like a ruffle.
-unexpected color combinations, like orange + beige + black, fuchsia + aqua
-bright, bright fire engine red-orange hair.
-massive cocktail rings like this one or this one
-fitted leather jackets
-suspenders
-any knit featuring the feather and fan stitch pattern
-hearts
-tattoos that creep down the arms, especially on a woman, but on both sexes, it's incredibly sexy.
-high waisted skirts and jeans (though i can't wear them (too big busted/short-waisted...but i admire how they look on those that can rock them.)
-boots, boots, boots. i like them to be knee high, mostly, and of the vintage variety, mostly. with some interesting detail.
