8.10.2006 v.28.10.2006 v.1 thought the light and depth of field here was cool, so i instructed my photographer to shoot this direction! he's so good to me.

-unwashed hair: had to run out to get drycleaning and buttons for a vintage dress i plan to wear this weekend, for pete's sister's wedding down in jacksonville, florida. --chartruse green button grandma earrings: urban outfitters years and years ago -patchwork-look needlepoint tote: thrifted in florida -coral and red-orange knit top with crochet trim: gauge, found at "i heart" in nolita -denim pencil skirt: gap's 1969 line, from sometime in the past couple years -chartruse green peeptoe wedges with a bow on one toe and a bow on one heel: camper. my all time favorite pair of campers.

8.9.2006back to the old-school wardrobe_remix shots in the hallway outside my apartment! off to go to the post office, and go thrift shopping. found a few gems (including an awesome knitting book of british sweater designs from 1982!).

! i got a LOT of looks from people concerning this outfit. very amusing! i feel really confident in it, though.

-tiny acid wash levi's jacket: thrifted in florida. i probably wear this a little TOO often, but it's my signature piece at the moment. -tunic length tanktop: american apparel -acid wash skirt: beacon's closet. someone hacked it off with scissors. i like it like that so it's staying that way. -white rhinestone and studded leather 80s belt: thrifted in florida -chartreuse green button grandma earrings: urban outfitters years and years ago -patchwork-look needlepoint tote: thrifted in florida -white peeptoe flats with green and red trim and a rainbow ribbon across the top: killah, found for £10 at a miss sixty sample sale off brick lane, london, last summer.

A and 11th street, manhattan, only $10! -gold stretchy belt: thrifted in florida -gold peeptoe wedges: bruno magli -patchwork-look needlepoint bag: thrifted in florida -giant brown sunglasses: beacon's closet -gold bangle: thrifted in florida -red opaque plastic grandma earrings: thrifted in florida -gold elgin watch: inherited by pete from his grandfather -gold necklace with crystal heart: given to me by a work friend over 10 years ago. one of his family friends was ill and in a nursing home and had very little family, and he inherited her jewelry. he let me paw through her collection when i was young and very poor and let me take anything i wanted, knowing how much i loved vintage jewelry. he knew i would love and appreciate her things. it was very touching of him to let me do that.
